Released on January 26, 2024 in 352 Japanese theaters, Gundam SEED FREEDOM becomes the best launch of the Gundam license thanks to its 500,000 viewers.
The previous record was held by the Gundam Hathaway movie and its $3.24 million (523 million yen) with 259,074 admissions over 3 days.

And over 3 days, Gundam Seed Freedom exceeded $6.64 million (1.065 billion yen) in receipts thanks to its 634,182 admissions. This makes it the biggest start of this year 2024 in Japan.
