Junji Ito's Uzumaki Anime, in Video Teaser

The Adult Swim channel has unveiled the video teaser of the anime Uzumaki based on the manga by Junji Ito!

The anime series Uzumaki (4 episodes) premieres on September 28, 2024 in Japan.

Synopsis of the Uzumaki series

Uzumaki plunges us into the strange and disturbing little town of Kurouzu, hidden between the sea and the mountains, where Kirie Goshima, a very ordinary high school student, begins to witness supernatural events. It all starts when Shuichi's father, her boyfriend, develops a disturbing obsession with spirals. What seems like a harmless eccentricity quickly turns into horror when this fixation on spirals turns into a real curse that falls on the city.

Spirals, symbols of infinity and continuity, begin to manifest themselves in a sinister way in Kurouzu. They influence not only objects but also the bodies and minds of the inhabitants.

Kirie and Shuichi find themselves confronted with a series of gruesome phenomena that defy logical explanation, from bodies contorting into morbid spirals to mysterious whirlwinds engulfing everything in their path.
