MHA Season 7: Star and Stripe on Official Poster

The My Hero Academia Season 7 anime has revealed the official poster for the iconic character Star and Stripe (Cathleen Bate)!

The animated series My Hero Academia Season 7 (25 episodes) starts on May 4, 2024. And the fourth animated film titled MHA You're Next is scheduled for release in August 2024 in Japanese theaters.

Cathleen Bate, aka Star and Stripe, is the number one Pro Heroine in the United States of America. Introduced in the Star and Stripe arc of My Hero Academia, she arrives as a reinforcement to counter the growing threat of Tomura Shigaraki. With an imposing physique and bright blonde hair, Cathleen embodies power and boldness with a costume adorned with the stars and stripes symbolizing her country.

An avid admirer of All Might, she adopts her eight-strand hair style to honor her hero, whose rescue of her family as a young girl profoundly marked her life path.

Determined, daring, and willing to do anything to protect others, Cathleen arrives in Japan to confront Tomura, but he is willing to do anything to achieve his next goal: stealing his Quirk, New Order.

Introducing Star and Stripe's New Order Quirk:

Star and Stripe's Quirk (Cathleen Bate) is named New Order and gives her the exceptional ability to dictate rules about her environment, allowing her to manipulate and assign new properties to herself or those around her. To activate their Quirk, Star and Stripe must make physical contact with their target, speak their name, and then clearly state the rule they want to impose. It is limited to the imposition of two rules simultaneously.

This ability not only allows him to enhance his own physical attributes but also manipulate the physical state of his opponents. While it seems that Star and Stripe can create almost any rule imaginable, including those with deadly consequences, she can't anounce unlimited abilities, such as infinite strength.

Surprisingly, New Order can also be applied to intangibles such as air or laser beams, which it can transform into solid structures or weapons. However, it cannot affect a target that it has not physically touched; For example, it cannot impose a rule that kills someone simply because they breathe the air it touched.

A crucial condition for the effectiveness of New Order is that the target must identify itself to the name that Star and Stripe uses to activate it. If the target is experiencing an identity crisis, the alter won't work. For inanimate objects, which do not possess self-awareness, it is sufficient for Star and Stripe to unilaterally recognize them as a target.
