New anime The Quintessential Quintuplets announced

The Quintessential Quintuplets franchise is back with a new anime called Gotoubun no Hanayome* (The Quintessential Quintuplets*)!

This new anime (OVA? Movie?) will tell the story of Fuutarou and the quintuplets during the honeymoon which is not depicted in detail in the original manga. This original story is overseen by author Negi Haruba.

The format of the project has not yet been revealed nor the release date. More information coming soon.

Synopsis – The Quintessential Quintuplets:

Futarou Uesugi, a bright but antisocial high school student, leads a difficult life marked by family debts and intense loneliness. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Itsuki Nakano, a new student with whom he conflicts over a place in the canteen.

After winning this small battle by vexing Itsuki over his eating habits, Futarou discovers that he has been hired as a private tutor for the daughters of a wealthy family, who turn out to be Itsuki and his four quintuplet sisters: Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika.

Each with their own peculiarities, these five sisters show little interest in studying, turning Futarou's mission into a real headache.
Between the quintuplets' distinct personalities and their reluctance to study seriously, Futarou must use strategy and patience to get them to succeed academically, while managing the complex dynamics of this unusual sibling.
