Synopsis – The Rose of Versailles:
The story takes place at the end of the 18th century in France. Oscar François de Jarjayes is a young woman raised as a boy by a father who is fed up with having only daughters. Oscar's military education allowed him to become the captain of the royal guard, in charge of protecting the young dauphine Marie-Antoinette.
Thus, Oscar found himself rubbing shoulders with the richest of King Louis XVI's court at Versailles. Alongside Oscar, there is André, her childhood friend, secretly in love with her.
Together, they had to face the first troubles heralding the French Revolution.
