Synopsis – Cute High Earth Defense Haikara!

In an alternative Japan to the Taisho era, where retro elegance and a romantic spirit reign, five high school students; Unzen, Sukayu, Ubana, Oshamanbe and Aso, lead a peaceful life in the Binan Academy Earth Defense Club, a club known for... do nothing at all.

They live quietly together in the student dormitory, until one day, while enjoying a morning bath, a strange creature emerges from the water. It is Nuru, a talking manul sent from the distant future to warn them: Earth is in imminent danger. But be careful, he doesn't intend to fight himself! It will be up to them to choose whether or not they want to fight to save the world.

Against all odds, Unzen motivates his friends to embark on the adventure. Motivated by their own will, the five boys accept the mission, and thanks to Nuru's science, they transform into Haikara Roman-dan, colorful heroes with a retro aesthetic.

But in the shadows, a mysterious trio, the Bankareshin'eitai, is preparing to dominate the planet...
