In Tensei Shitara dai Nana Ouji dattanode, Kimamani Majutsu o Kiwamemasu, a magic enthusiast finds a second life after a tragic confrontation with nobles who kill him with a powerful spell.
His last wish, to study and master more magic, is granted when he is reincarnated as Lloyd of Saloom, the 7th prince of the Kingdom of Saloom. From now on, he has all the freedom to perfect his magic as he pleases.

With natural talent and deep knowledge, Lloyd's magical mastery rapidly evolves, attracting attention throughout the kingdom. However, Lloyd devoted himself primarily to research and experimentation for his own benefit.

One day, he discovers that forbidden books and dangerous witches are locked up in the castle's basement. Intrigued, he ventures alone into the underground library, where he meets a disturbing man who reveals a secret to him.
