Synopsis of the NieR Automata anime:

Aliens are invading the world through powerful Machine Life-Forms. Humanity had to flee to the Moon to avoid extinction.

However, the humans have in turn created a war machine in an attempt to retake Earth, the Yorha unit. These new kind of android soldiers are sent to Earth to fight the machines...

We follow the struggle of androids 2B and 9S against Machine Life-Forms.
