The anime Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004 (Yuusha-kei ni Shosu – Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku) follows the footsteps of criminals forced to fight against the forces of evil, in a gripping story of survival, revenge and ruthless war!

The animated series Sentenced to Be a Hero is produced by Studio KAI (Fuuto Pi, Skeleton Knight in Another World, Uma Musume Pretty Derby Season 3). The date has not yet been revealed. More information coming soon.

Synopsis – Sentenced to Be a Hero :

In a world where heroism is condemnation, Heroes are not legendary figures, but criminals condemned to serve in a military penal unit and fight the army of a Demon King. These convicts do not have the right to die; If they fall in battle, they are resurrected to fight again.

The protagonist, Hero Xylo Forbartz, former leader of the Order of the Holy Knights, leads a troop of outcasts into the front lines. It is in these extreme circumstances that he encounters Teoritta, one of the most powerful weapons in the world.

To survive and wreak vengeance on those who betrayed him, he makes a pact with a goddess and plunges into a whirlwind of war and intrigue. Every battle is an act of desperation, every victory a glimmer of hope in an unforgiving world where heroes are created by the force of fate and not by choice.
