The Clevatess anime, in video teaser

The manga Clevatess (Clevatess: Majuu no Ou to Akago to Shikabane no Yuusha) by Yuji Iwahara (Dimension W, Darker than Black) is going to be adapted into an anime!

Synopsis:

Clevatess, a powerful demon king, experiences a rude awakening when a troop of human heroes break into his lair to kill him. Surprised by their audacity and the surprisingly powerful weapons they wield, he easily crushes intruders but remains intrigued by their ability to have hurt him.

Driven by the desire to understand how these "insignificant beings" could have developed such technology and why they want him dead, Clevatess decides to travel to the human capital. There, he destroys the city in search of answers, but only finds more questions. It is in the ruins of the palace, faced with an injured survivor begging him to save a baby, that Clevatess sees an unexpected opportunity: raising this human child could offer him the answers he seeks.

The demon adopts the baby, seeing in him the key to understanding his enemies and determining whether or not humanity deserves destruction.
