The anime Demon Lord 2099 (Maou 2099) reveals its first official poster with the main characters.

Synopsis – Demon Lord 2099

In the fantasy world of Alneath, the demonic Demon Lord, Veltol Velvet Velsvalt, is defeated in battle by the hero Gram. 500 years later, his subordinate Machina Soleige uses magic to resurrect Veltol.

However, while he was away, Alneath experienced a disaster called the "Fantasion," in which he merged with Earth's industrial world in 2023. This fusion led to prejudice between the different races, the collapse of national borders, and wars between the new states.

After these wars, relative peace set in, and Alneath's magic was combined with the earth's industry to create a magical engineering called "magineering". Veltol was resurrected in 2099 in the city state of Shinjuku (formerly Tokyo), and with the help of Machina and his hacker friend Takahashi, he attempts to regain his power for a new attempt at world domination.
