Dragon Raja Game Info:
Dragon Raja is a mobile and PC MMORPG developed with Unreal Engine 4 by Epic Games and Loong Entertainment. Released in China in 2019, it was then published in several languages and regions, under different names.
In this third-person game, players can move freely in an open world. Players have different combat classes to choose from. Dragon Raja offers a variety of activities, ranging from PVE missions and dungeons to PVP competitions, including a battle royale mode and car racing. Players can customize their character's body, facial features, and clothing, as well as cosmetic options for weapons.
Various activities are also available, such as careers where players can take on jobs to unlock different cosmetic and gameplay rewards. Players can also get married, have children (Heirs), build and furnish houses, interact in an in-game social media app, exchange text messages with characters from the franchise, and recruit them as combat allies.
The game's story differs significantly from that of the original novels, set in an alternate universe, with a revamp of the events of the novels to make the game more accessible to a general audience unfamiliar with the source material. As a result, many mature events have been mitigated, deleted, or modified.
Information about the Dragon Raja novel:
Originally Dragon Raja is a series of fantasy web novels written by Lee Yeongdo in 1997, one of South Korea's most famous fantasy novelists. The story focuses on the adventures of Hutch Nedval, also known as Hoochie Nedval, a 17-year-old boy, his mentor Karl Heltant, and his friend Sanson Percival. All hailing from the impoverished town of Heltant Fief in the Kingdom of Bysus, their destinies intertwine in an epic quest.
Narrated in the first person by Hoochie, the main story arc depicts their heroic quest to save their people from the black dragon Amurtaht by raising funds to pay the ransom. Their journey then leads them to the search for and protection of a lost girl, the Dragon Raja, who is supposed to be the bridge between humans and dragons. This mission is all the more crucial because it could end the terror of the crimson dragon that ravaged the continent twenty years ago.
Since then, the Dragon saga Raja has undergone various readaptations, including in China by the novelist Jiang Nan.
And the anime series Dragon Raja (Long Zu) was released in August 2022 and has a total of 16 episodes in China.
