Netflix has announced the production of The Grimm Variations anime by Wit Studio and CLAMP!

The animated series The Grimm Variations (6 episodes) premieres on April 17, 2024 on Netflix. It's a modern reinterpretation of the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales by screenwriter Michiko Yokote (Call of the Night, Masamune-kun's Revenge, Rinne).

Synopsis – The Grimm Variations:

In a world of reimagined fairy tales, the Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, are famous for collecting and writing fantastic stories from all over the kingdom. Their younger sister, the sweet and curious Charlotte, is an avid listener to their stories. However, one day, while listening to a story, a meaningful question emerges from his lips: Did they really live happily ever after?

This innocent question gives rise to a new perspective on the famous fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. Through Charlotte's eyes, these stories take an unexpected turn, revealing hidden truths and mysteries.
