Synopsis of Kaiju Manga No. 8:

Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man, works as a cleaner of kaijuu, the monstrous Godzilla-like creatures that terrorize Japan. He is a member of the Professional Kaijuu Cleaner Corporation, tasked with cleaning up the remains of kaijuus once they are shot down by the Defense Corps, an elite military unit.

Kafka was dissatisfied with his job as a sweeper; Ever since he was a child, he has dreamed of joining the Defense Corps and fighting the Kaijuu on the front lines. After several unsuccessful attempts, he gave up on his dream, resigning himself to a mediocre but stable life.

However, the arrival of an 18-year-old recruit, Leno Ichikawa, as part of his cleaning team, rekindled Kafka's desire to join the Defense Corps.

One day, Kafka is infected by a parasite-type kaijuu that enters his body, transforming him into a humanoid monster. His new codename: Kaiju No. 8

Armed with his newfound powers, Kafka joined the Defense Corps to fight the kaijuu.
