The Look Back manga adapted into an anime

Publisher Shueisha has announced the anime adaptation of FUJIMOTO Tatsuki (Chainsaw Man)'s Look Back manga!

This OVA is scheduled for June 28, 2024 in some Japanese theaters.

Synopsis – Look Back

Fujino, a talented elementary school student, excels in the art of manga, publishing her works in the school newspaper and earning the admiration of her classmates. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets a formidable rival, Kyomoto, a mysterious student who draws incredibly well from the isolation of her room. The rivalry between the two young artists intensified when Kyomoto began publishing his own manga alongside Fujino's.

Despite his strenuous efforts to improve his craft, Fujino failed to match Kyomoto's level and eventually gave up manga creation. However, an unforeseen event occurs when she is tasked with handing out the end-of-year diploma to Kyomoto, who never leaves her home.

Upon entering Kyomoto's home, Fujino discovers mountains of sketchbooks and realizes that Kyomoto is actually a big admirer of her work, following her manga with passion. Touched by Kyomoto's enthusiasm and admiration, Fujino rediscovers her passion for manga.
