Synopsis of the NieR Automata anime:

Aliens are invading the world through powerful Machine Life-Forms. Humanity had to flee to the Moon to avoid extinction.

However, the humans have in turn created a war machine in an attempt to take back Earth, the Yorha unit. These android soldiers of a new type are sent to Earth to fight the machines...

We follow the struggle of the 2B and 9S androids against the Machine Life-Forms.
