The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 Anime Announced

The official website has revealed the production of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 anime (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 4)!

Synopsis (Season 1):

The Rising of the Shield Hero begins with the summoning of 4 ordinary men from modern Japan to the kingdom of Melromarc. Their mission: to save this country from the Waves of Doom, the devastating plagues that have plagued the kingdom for centuries. Each of the heroes is assigned a legendary weapon: the sword, the spear, the bow and the shield.

Naofumi Iwatani, an otaku, is given the role of the Shield Hero. Armed only with this shield, Naofumi is mocked and scorned by the other heroes and the people of the kingdom due to his poor offensive abilities and unimpressive personality.

Quickly betrayed and accused of a crime he did not commit, Naofumi finds himself confronted with the hatred and discrimination of the people of Melromarc. With a heart filled with pain and mistrust, he begins his journey to strengthen his strength and reputation.

Faced with the difficulty of isolation, Naofumi buys a demi-human slave, Raphtalia, on the brink of death to accompany him on his travels. Together, they prepare to face the Waves of Doom that threaten the kingdom. Despite the rejections to which they are subjected, Naofumi and Raphtalia decide to fight for the survival of the kingdom of Melromarc and protect its inhabitants from a disastrous fate.
