The Shoushimin series takes us into the intriguing adventures of Kobato-kun and Osanai-san, two high school freshmen. Describing themselves as modest and respectable middle-class citizens or "petty bourgeois," they aspire to a normal, uneventful life.

However, despite their usual desires, Kobato-kun and Osanai-san find themselves constantly confronted with strange mysteries and unusual riddles. Kobato-kun, not wanting to distinguish himself as a brilliant detective, finds himself unwittingly involved in solving these investigations. Each unusual situation is an invitation to adventure and discovery, testing their minds and relationships.
