Tohai Anime Synopsis

In the shadows of the city's busy streets lies a little-known secret: one of the most talented and ruthless Mahjong players is none other than a young high school student. Kei, a taciturn teenager, stands out for his observational skills, unwavering will, and gaming experience, all of which allow him to survive in a world full of powerful, rich, and dangerous characters.

In parallel with his life as a player, Kei hides a heavy secret. He protects Amina, a young girl who has entered the country illegally, by hiding her to warn her of imminent deportation. His days are punctuated by the boredom of the classes he attends without interest and the nights are devoted to high-stakes Mahjong games, where each shot can be the last.

For Kei, Mahjong is not just a game, it is a battlefield where respect, reputation and survival are played. Her daily life is a precarious balance between the ordinary world of high school and the dark and breathless world of clandestine gambling halls.
