The second trailer of the anime Tougen Anki (alternative title: Togen Anki) hits hard: monsters, betrayals and demonic powers invite themselves into an ancestral battle where nothing is black and white.

Synopsis – Togen Anki

A Japanese legend tells that the warrior Momotaro was born from a peach. His incredible strength would have allowed him to put to flight the Oni, demons of Japanese folklore. This whole story is not a legend, the descendants of Momotaro and Oni are still fighting each other!

Shiki Ichinose is an impulsive and irresponsible teenager, aware of his disobedience and even proud of his expulsion from school. Despite Shiki's rebellious attitude, his adoptive father, Tsuyoshi, cares deeply about him.

It is during his encounter with a member of the Momotaro clan that Shiki discovers that he has Oni blood in him, allowing him to transform into a monster brimming with rage.

He joins the Rakshasa Academy, an institution for young Oni who need to understand and perfect their powers.

Shiki's only motivation is to avenge his late father who sacrificed himself to save him...
