Koinzell's dark quest for revenge is illustrated once again in the third trailer of the anime Ubel Blatt.

The animated series Ubel Blatt premieres on January 11, 2025 streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Synopsis – Ubel Blatt

Übel Blatt is a dark fantasy manga that follows the difficult journey of Koinzell, apparently a half-human with a childish and androgynous look, recognizable by the scar on his left eye. His quest is for revenge against those who betrayed and murdered him, and who are now known as the Seven Heroes of the Kingdom.

The story begins 20 years before the beginning of the manga, when Koinzell, formerly known as Ascheriit, was a prodigious young swordsman whose talent earned him the title of Blatt Meister (Master of the Sword). His exploits caused him to be chosen as one of the 14 youths chosen by the Emperor of the Szaalenden Empire to embark on a dangerous quest to defeat a powerful invader, the evil nation of Wischtech, known for its machines of destruction and dark sorcery.

Legend has it that to fight against this terrifying army of darkness, the emperor commissioned these 14 valiant warriors to whom he entrusted 14 sacred spears. 3 of them, the glorious warriors of no return, perished in battle.
4 others, nicknamed the Spears of Treason, were executed by their companions for treason.
The last 7 accomplished their mission and were welcomed as heroes on their return.

But 20 years later, rebels also known as "The Spears of Treason" are once again challenging the authority of the Empire...
