A New MONOGATARI Series Anime Announced

It is through SugoiLITE that we learn about the production of a new Monogatari anime from NisiOisin!

The anime series Monogatari Off & Monster Season is scheduled for release in 2024 in Japan. It is the adaptation of the novels Monogatari Off Season and Monogatari Monster Season. It is still the Shaft studio that is in charge of the project. More information coming soon.

Synopsis of Monogatari Series Off Season & Monster Season

Monogatari Series Off Season: A collection of stories that delves deeper into the enigmatic and captivating world of anomalies and supernatural creatures. Over a period of 600 years, we discover stories involving vampires, monkey paws, shikigami, souls wandering in the mists of the mountains, murderous felines, mermaids, wolves, golems, and perhaps the most terrifying of all, humans.

Fortunately, there have always been specialists whose mission is to fight, regulate and, above all, solve the many mysteries behind the circumstances created by these anomalies.

Monogatari Series: Off Season follows eight protagonists, some specialists and others anomalies themselves, as they interact with the world. Often, these characters find themselves in dangerous situations due to their own malicious actions.

Monogatari Monster Season: The story unfolds around a series of disturbing disappearances at Naoetsu High School. One student after another disappears in mysterious circumstances. The anguish reaches its peak when the girls' mummified bodies are discovered, each bearing a distinct mark on the back of their necks. This gruesome discovery foreshadows the work of an individual with sinister intentions.

Koyomi Araragi, now a freshman at university, finds himself embroiled in this dark and complex case. Driven by his sense of justice and fearless nature, Araragi embarks on a quest to find the culprit. His search leads him through a labyrinth of leads and clues, bringing him face to face with dark realities and hidden secrets.
