Synopsis of BASTARD!! Hell's Requiem Arc (S2):

2 years have passed since the final battle between Darth Schneider and Abigail, which resulted in the destruction of Castle Meta-Licana, seemingly killing everyone inside.

While the armies of the Dark Rebel have collapsed, the mighty Kall-Su (the last of the Four Divine Kings) has kept his regiment alive and now rules over the remnants of the four nations with a seemingly endless winter, all in search of Queen Sheila of Meta-Licana, the guardian of the final seal preventing the resurrection of Anthrasax, whom Kall now considers his mother. The Deity of Destruction, created by the "sages" of yesteryear in an effort to prevent war from breaking out again, had actually brought the apocalypse to humanity's ancient world in just seven days, and it was expected to come back to life 400 years after being defeated by the original Dragon Knight, who had apparently descended from the sky to stop it.

To help him, Kall has assembled his own force of powerful sorcerer warriors, the 12 Shogun Wizards, but a new rebel force, led by Kai Harn, former Sorcerer General of Arshes Nei, and the Samurai of the fallen kingdom of Aian-Meide, constantly fights against them. Kai and the Samurai also have a few tricks up their sleeves: Tia Noto Yoko, who has since become a full-fledged Cleric, and Lucié Lenlen, Yoko's little brother-in-law. The conflict between the Sorcerer Shogun and the samurai of Aian-Meide will lead to a "Holy War" at King Crimson Glory, the legendary home of the Elves who disappeared a century ago, as it is discovered that this is where Sheila has been hiding. The resurrection of Anthrasax seems inevitable, at this point.

A previous anime Bastard!! (6 OVA) was released in 1992 and made by AIC Studio in Japan.
