The anime The Blue Wolves of Mibu (Ao no Miburo, Blue Wolves) follows the journey of Nio, a young samurai who will evolve alongside the members of the Shinsengumi!

Synopsis – The Blue Wolves of Mibu:

In 1863, during the last days of the shogunate, Japan was on the verge of major changes. The streets of the capital are marked by bloodshed, a symptom of political upheaval and growing tensions between the ronin (masterless samurai) and the samurai in the service of the government, heralding one of the most tumultuous periods in Japanese history.

Young orphan Nio, who knows the harsh realities of the world well, nevertheless harbors a burning passion for justice and a desire to change the world for the better.

His life takes a decisive turn when he crosses paths with Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, two founding members of the despised group of ronin called Miburo, who would later become the famous Shinsengumi. Inspired by the efforts of these "Mibu Blue Wolves", Nio decides to join their ranks to help forge the world he desires.

But in a context where betrayals and reversals are commonplace, will Nio be able to stay true to its principles and conscience?
