Introduction to Dark Machine

The story takes place in 2079. Humanity has been living in an energy bubble since the discovery of the Palmer Crystal by Dr. Robert Palmer, providing humanity with all the energy it needs and more. However, not everyone has taken advantage of this hyper-energetic source, and underground battles for this energy have developed on a global scale. The factory robots that cultivated this future energy have been turned into a combat mecha by these underground factions, fighting for enormous stakes.

Dark energy is said to reside in small amounts in Palmer's crystal. The use of hyper AI technologies has been attempted to harness this dark energy and use it for advantages in combat. It is not yet clear if this dark energy can be controlled by the mechs...

The Dark Machine game, a large-scale asynchronous team arena shooter, scheduled for 2025 with early access in late 2024.

Dark Machine, directed by Yuya Saito and produced by Koji Hakuta, is a third-person shooter featuring 7v7 mech combat.

The development studio has raised more than $8.7 million from more than 6,000 investors, including Tencent, web3 gaming platform Immutable, and blockchain company Sui. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 and will incorporate the blockchain-based in-game currency MACHINA ($MXNA), as well as NFT asset ownership and an NFT marketplace for direct sales and peer-to-peer exchanges.

Players will be able to install and play the game without having to purchase NFTs, and will also receive free NFTs to start playing. Tournaments will be integrated into the gameplay.
