It is through Square Enix that we learn of the anime adaptation of the manga My Awkward Senpai (Bukiyou na Senpai) by KUDO Makoto!

It is an animated series. The publisher Square Enix has filed the legal documents for the use of the Bukiyou na Senpai license in an anime series. More information soon.

Synopsis – My Awkward Senpai

We follow the story of Tetsuwa, a 27-year-old office worker whose beauty is matched only by the somewhat intimidating reputation she inspires among her colleagues. Nicknamed "beautiful but terrifying" within her company, she is often perceived as difficult to approach because of her serious character and her high standards of herself and others.

Tetsuwa's life takes an unexpected turn when she is given the responsibility of being the trainer of Kamekawa, a young employee who has just been hired. This is Tetsuwa's first time having to mentor a subordinate, and she is determined to make a good impression and prove that she can be a competent mentor.

However, Tetsuwa's teaching methods and strict approach test Kamekawa's patience and resilience. What begins as a professional challenge gradually evolves into an office comedy full of misunderstandings and touching moments, as the two characters learn to understand and appreciate each other.
