The Rascal Does Not Dream University Arc Anime, Announced in Video

Aniplex has revealed the production of the anime Rascal Does Not Dream University arc (Seishun Buta Yarou: Daigakusei-hen)!

Synopsis of the anime Rascal Does Not Dream University arc

In the University arc of the Rascal Does Not Dream series, Sakuta embarks on a new chapter in her life as a college student. However, he soon discovers that while some things have changed, others remain eerily the same. His entry into university does not mark the beginning of a new life as he had imagined.

His reputation still precedes him, largely due to his relationship with Mai, whose acting career continues to intensify. Despite being a couple, Mai's notoriety and the challenges of her job add a complex dynamic to their relationship. Sakuta still lives in Fujisawa with her sister Kaede, who has now resumed remote schooling and divides her time between the apartment and the family home. The band Sweet Bullet, on the other hand, tirelessly pursues its path to stardom.

But tensions arise when Uzuki Hirokawa begins to behave in an unusual way. Sakuta begins to suspect that Teenage Syndrome, a mysterious and supernatural phenomenon that he has already faced several times, could once again be the cause of these strange behaviors.

As Sakuta navigates this new student world, he must juggle his personal life, his academic responsibilities, and the challenges imposed on him by his relationship with Mai.

The University Arc explores Sakuta's personal growth as an individual and her evolution within her relationships, while also addressing the complex themes of love, ambition, and the unsolved mysteries of Adolescence Syndrome.

The novel Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream) by Kamoshida Hajime (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo) debuted in 2014 by ASCII Media Works and currently has 12 bound volumes in Japan.

And since 2016, several manga adaptations have been released.
