We follow the daily life of Yaiba Kurogane, a young boy raised to become a samurai who lives isolated in the forest with his father, Kenjurou Kurogane. It is in town that Yaiba discovers that he is a legendary warrior destined to fight evil embodied by Takeshi Onimaru, a high school student with a demonic appearance.
On his path to becoming a true samurai, Yaiba meets characters who support, train, or inspire him to excel. Despite his incredible swordsmanship, Yaiba is clumsy at times, turning potential allies into enemies. His companions often make up for it with reprimands.
