Synopsis of the Gachiakuta series:
In a society divided between the city, where the civilized class resides, and the slum, where the descendants of criminals called "tribes" gather, two worlds are separated by high walls. Below these worlds lies the Abyss, a garbage dump where trash and criminals are exiled, feared even by the slum dwellers.
Rudo, an orphaned boy, lives in this slum with his adoptive parent, Regto, surviving thanks to criminal activities in the city. Pressured by Regto to give up these dangerous activities before being captured, Rudo refuses to give up, convinced that this is the only way to make money and repay Regto for raising him.
However, one day, Rudo returns home to find Regto murdered. Accused of the atrocious crime by all, he is condemned to be thrown into the abominable Abyss.
Consumed by anger, Rudo vows to kill the one responsible for Regto's death and take revenge on the entire society that falsely accused him. Plunged into the depths of the Abyss, Rudo must navigate a particularly brutal and unforgiving world, while searching for clues to hunt down the true assassin and restore his honor.
